The King Fahd Industrial Port at Jubail lies on a sea-lane to the north of the Jubail Commercial Port. The Port is designed to handle export and import of solid and liquefied substances and bulk goods. It can also handle imports of iron ore and exports of bulk sulfur and fertilizers. It has 23 quays and a maritime station for tankers. It handled 33,087,230 tons of cargo in 2000/2001.
