The Commercial Port at Jizan, which is the main port in the south of the country, serves the development projects in the region. It has twelve modern quays receiving giant commercial ships. Furnished with modern equipment for handling goods, the Port has storage areas for various types of goods.

It also has a tower 200 feet [61 m] high, a quality control laboratory and a computer center. In 2000/2001, it handled 1,840,488 tons of cargo.
