Six million copies of publications on Hajj distributed to pilgrims
Riyadh, 1 March 2001

The Publications Agency of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance, has offered 6 million copies of Islamic books and leaflets on the Hajj rituals, as a gift of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz, for distribution at the Kingdom's air, sea and land entry points.

"Almost 80 per cent of this consignment has already reached the distribution points, while the rest are on the way to their destinations," said Dr Abdul Aziz Al-Zaid, the Ministry's Assistant Undersecretary for Printing and Publications Affairs.

The distribution of the consignment will cover Makkah, Riyadh, Jeddah, Prince Mohammad bin Abdul Aziz Airport in Madinah, Salwa, al-Batha, al-Req'e, the King Fahd Causeway, al-Jadeedah, Halat Ammar, al-Khadra, al-Tewal and the Ministry's branch in Madinah.

In addition, 594,495 audiocassettes on Islam will also be distributed to the pilgrims.
