Prompted by the Kingdom’s general development and, in particular by the Kingdom’s extensive and intensive educational program, a thriving publications industry has grown up. Daily newspapers, weekly publications, other periodicals and a wide selection of books now compete for the reader’s interest. There are more than 122 publications in the Kingdom, 12 of which are daily newspapers, 23 weekly magazines and 23 monthly magazines.
