While the Government’s major priorities have been the development of the infrastructure, the education and healthcare of the people, and diversification of the economy, the arts have not been neglected. King Fahd’s concern to give young Saudis the best start in life, not only in terms of a conventional educational syllabus but also in the sense of a wider appreciation of the arts, is widely recognized.
