These services are provided through a network of facilities which, in 1999, comprised 16 orphanages, 22 social guidance and probation institutions, 5 residential nurseries for handicapped children, 2 centers for paralyzed children, 28 centers for rehabilitation of the disabled, 11 offices for vagrancy control and 10 homes for the elderly.
