Expansion of Hospital Facilities (2 of 2)

By the end of the Fourth Development Plan (1985–90) most of the eighteen hospitals under construction (with 4,165 beds) at a cost of SR 5,100 million were in operation. Among these hospitals are King Fahd Medical City in Riyadh (1,400 beds) and Al-Khaleeg Hospital in Dammam in the eastern region (640 beds). In 1999, there were 314 hospitals in the Kingdom.
