29/07/2001 King Fahd orders distribution of 150,000 copies of the Holy Quran

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz has ordered distribution of 150,000 copies of the Holy Quran (printed at the Madinah-based King Fahd Printing Complex for the Holy Quran) to a number of Islamic organizations, societies and centers in the Kingdom and abroad. The beneficiaries of this Royal Order include the Grand Mosque, the Presidency of the Islamic Studies, Scientific Researches and Ifta; the Ministry of Information; the Foreign Ministry's branch in Makkah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The beneficiaries of the Royal Order also include a number of embassies and Islamic bodies in Dakar, Sanaa, Algiers, Kuwait, Morocco and Ethiopia.

This was disclosed in a statement to the Saudi Press Agency by Sheikh Saleh bin Abdul Aziz bin Mohammed Al Al-Sheikh, the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance.
