23/07/2001 King Fahd donates money to Islamic authorities
Riyadh, 23rd July 2001

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz has donated five million riyals to the General Presidency of the Authority for Propagation of Virtue and Prevention of Vice for the educational programs and Shariah courses held by the Presidency to train working staff, it was reported here today.

The report said the monarch also donated SR 2,450,000 for the summer guidance camps held by the Presidency during the current summer season to benefit the summer tourists.

This was announced by the acting general president of the Authority of Propagation of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, Sheikh Ibrahim bin Abdullah Al Ghaith.

Sheikh Al Ghaith said these generous donations by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques were part of his support for the Presidency to underline the rite of propagation of virtue and prevention of vice and in appreciation of the role of the Authority in serving Islam and society.
