The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz has directed the Saudi Red Crescent Society to provide Ghana with an urgent consignment of relief materials, following the recent floods that hit the country causing deaths and displacing a number of families.
The flood damage was concentrated in an area inhabited by Muslims. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the President of the Society, Dr. Abdullrahman Al-Suweilem said that the relief consignment will be sent on two planes, one leaving on Tuesday and the other on Wednesday. The consignment will contain foodstuffs, blankets and tents, he added.
