The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz has ordered the disbursement of SR 74,125,000 to purchase 21,000 tons of dates from farmers in the Kingdom for the current agricultural season of the year 1422 H.

The Minister of Agriculture and Water Dr. Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz bin Muammar disclosed that a large portion of these dates would be distributed among poor citizens and the rest would be provided to help the U.N. World food program and to assist the poor and needy people of the world.
