30/06/2001 King Fahd endorses decisions of Higher Education Council

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz, has endorsed a number of recent decisions, which have been recommended by the Higher Education Council. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Minister of Higher Education Dr. Khalid Al Anqari said that the Council approved, at its 21st session, the transformation of the Department of Languages and Translation at the Arabic language College in Imam Mohammad bin Saud Islamic University into a fully fledged college under the title of “The College of Languages and Translation.” He added that the Council had also approved setting up a Centre for Research and Social Studies at King Khaled University and the memorandum of understanding between King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) and the Japanese Energy Centre.
