28/06/2001 King Fahd orders distribution of copies of the Holy Quran
Riyadh, 28th June 2001

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz has ordered distribution of 94,000 copies of the Holy Quran and its interpretation in various languages from Madinah-based King Fahd Complex for printing the Holy Quran to governmental bodies, Saudi embassies and Islamic institutions and commissions in the Kingdom and abroad.

In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Sheikh Salih bin Abdul Aziz bin Mohammed Al Al-Sheikh, the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance and the General Supervisor of the Complex, expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz for his great interest in providing copies of the Holy Quran to mosques and governmental and private bodies to be available for all.

He noted that the copies would be distributed to Saudi embassies and Islamic commissions in Italy, Brunei, Sudan, Guinea, Indonesia, Haiti, Afghanistan, Comoros and other countries.
