Minister of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance Sheikh Salih bin Abdul Aziz bin Mohammed Al Al-Sheikh highlighted here today the support being rendered by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Islamic Centres worldwide.
Following his tour of the Islamic Centre in London, Al Al-Sheikh told the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) that his Ministry was extending full care and attention to Islamic Centres round the world in line with directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz, Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, Deputy Premier and Commander of the National Guard, and Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz, Second Deputy Premier, Minister of Defence and Aviation and Inspector General, who is also Chairman of Islamic Council for Islamic Affairs.
Islamic Centres worldwide deserve every attention and care for their significant role in solving problems the Muslim communities abroad are facing, the Minister explained.
He pointed out that great expansion projects are underway to construct more Islamic Centres and Mosques throughout the globe.
He added that as many as 190 memorizers of the Holy Quran were sent to many places in the world, including the United Kingdom, to give Quranic lessons to Muslim communities.
