22/04/2001 King Fahd approves the issue of a stamp on Palestinian intifada
Jeddah, 22 April 2001

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz has approved the issue of a stamp and a post card in Arabic and other languages marking the Palestinian Intifada (uprising).

Copies of this stamp and post card will be distributed worldwide.

King Fahd endorsed also the observance of 9th of December every year as a day of Arab information media's solidarity with the Palestinian intifada.

This step comes in line with the Kingdom's continual support to the Palestinian issue in all its aspects. In an extraordinary meeting held on November 25, 2000, the Arab Information Ministers decided jointly to issue a stamp and a post card for the Palestinian intifada.
