Cairo, 11 March 2001
Palestinian pilgrims expressed on Sunday deep thanks to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, its leadership, government and people, for the services provided to them during the Hajj season this year.
The Palestinian pilgrims praised, in particular, the care of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz in hosting 1,000 Palestinian pilgrims from the families of al-Intifada (uprising) martyrs at his personal expenses and in granting an amount of SR1,000 to each of these Palestinian pilgrims, in addition to increasing the quota of Palestinian pilgrims this year.
The pilgrims made these remarks while crossing Rafha Egyptian outpost en route to Palestine after completion of Hajj rituals this year.
