King Fahd donates SR2 million for housing complex in Riyadh
Riyadh, 13 February 2001

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud has donated SR2 million for building the second complex of the Prince Salman Project for Charitable Housing in Badi'ah Quarter in Riyadh, it was reported here today.

The project’s Executive Director, Dr. Abdul Aziz bin Ahmed Al-Masoud, said: "King Fahd is a major supporter of the project, which aims at building houses for the poor, widows, orphans and others."

He noted that King Fahd had donated grants and land to the project from the beginning and recalled his generous contribution of SR5 million to the first fund-raising campaign for the first complex in the Sultanah Quarter.

He also praised the efforts of Prince Salman bin Abdul Aziz, the Governor of Riyadh region and Chairman of the project, in supporting and patronizing the project since its foundation, stressing that his directives and direct support have had a great effect on overcoming obstacles that might have arisen during the progress of the project.
