![]() ![]() ![]() King Fahd orders distribution of copies of the Holy Quran

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz has issued directives to provide a number of governmental and non-governmental authorities inside and outside of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as the Saudi embassies and consulates, with 110,000 copies of the Holy Quran and its meanings in various languages. The Madinah-based King Fahd Holy Quran Printing Complex will print the copies. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency, the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance Sheikh Salih Al-Sheikh announced that, in accordance with the monarch's directives, the Shoura Council, the Information Ministry, the Riyadh-based Naif Academy for Security Sciences, the Makkah-based Muslim World League (MWL), as well as the MWL's offices in Riyadh and Comoros, will be provided with copies. Also to be provided with copies are the Lebanese Fatwa House, the Mosque and School of Dar-Al-Hadeeth for the Memorization of the Holy Quran in Lebanon, the Islamic Manarah Society in Gambia, al-Nahdah Islamic schools in Burkina Faso, King Fahd Mosque in Banjul, Gambia, the Darul Salam Islamic Centre in Nigeria, the Society of Revival of Islamic Heritage in Kuwait, the Book and Cassette Centre in Sharja, Diouf Kar Centre for Foreign Communities in Qatar and the Islamic Cultural Centre in London. Saudi embassies in Cairo, Rabat, Nouakchott, Amman, Lusaka and The Hague, as well as the Saudi Consulate General in Alexandria and the Office of the Religious Attaché in Jordan, will also receive copies.
