The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz has ordered provision of copies of the Holy Quran and its meanings, printed by Madinah-based King Fahd Holy Quran Printing Complex, to a number of governmental authorities and Islamic organizations inside and outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
This was announced by the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance and Supervisor General of the complex, Sheikh Salih al-Sheikh. He noted that, in line with the directives of the Monarch, the branch of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance in Asir region, the Secretariat General for the Holy Quran Contest, the Administration of the Religious Affairs at the Border Guard, the General Organization for Military Industries and the Administration of Girls’ Education in Makkah region will be provided by copies of the Holy Quran.
Also to receive copies of the Holy Quran and its meanings are the Society of Revival of the Islamic Heritage in Kuwait, the Society of Islamic Education in Manama, the Charitable Society in Dubai as well as a number of mosques and Islamic centers in Spain, the Islamic Call office in London, the Saudi Olympic Committee participating in the 27th Olympic games due to be organized in Australia, Damascus International Exhibition, EXPO 2000 due to be organized in Hanover and the Islamic Federation for shipowners.
The Saudi embassies in Abu Dhabi, Damascus, Beirut, Amman, Tripoli, Darussalam, Accra, Tashkent, Madrid, Conakry, Pretoria, Mali, Gabon and Chad in addition to the Saudi consulate in Suez, the office of the cultural attache in Morocco and the religious office in Bangladesh will also be provided with copies of the Holy Quran and its meanings.
