Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz has ordered the supply, at his expense, of 45,276 air conditioners and 4,340 water coolers to girls' schools. The units will cost in total SR 65 million. A report of the Jeddah-based Arabic newspaper 'al-Madina,' published today by the English press said Dr Ali Al-Marshad, General President for Girls’ Education, has approved the placement of the orders with a number of national factories.

Expressing thanks, he said the existing air conditioners and water coolers in these schools have exceeded their life span.
