King Fahd issues an order to dispatch copies of the Holy Quran
Riyadh, 15th May 2000

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz has issued an order to dispatch 80,000 copies of Holy Quran to a number of governmental bodies, Saudi embassies and consulates and Islamic institutions and bodies in the Kingdom and abroad.

These copies of the Holy Quran, printed at the Madinah-based King Fahd Printing Complex, are of different sizes and contains interpretations and translations in several languages, according to an announcement made here today by Sheikh Saleh bin Abdul Aziz Al-Alsheikh, the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance.

Sheikh Saleh said these copies of the Holy Book, will be supplied to Saudi embassies and consulates in Rome, Athens, Los Angeles and Berne, the Saudi cultural offices in the Kingdom of Morocco and the United Arab Emirates and a number of Islamic societies in Kuwait, Pakistan, India and Macedonia.
