King Fahd provides for pilgrims to be his guests
Riyadh, 21st February, 2000

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz has ordered that 1500 pilgrims from Asia and Europe should be guests of the Kingdom at his own expense to enable them to perform this year's pilgrimage.

Islamic Affairs, Endowment, Call and Guidance Minister Sheikh Salih bin Abdul Aziz bin Mohammad Al-Sheikh said his ministry would arrange their trip to the Holy Cities of Makkah and Madinah. He pointed out that the King's guests for this year's pilgrimage would come from China, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Burma, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia and Ukraine.
