King Fahd issues order to provide copies of Holy Quran
Riyadh, 17th January, 2000

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz has issued an order to provide 360,490 copies of the Holy Quran and its interpretations in a number of languages. These copies of the Holy Quran, which are produced at the Madinah-based Quran Printing Complex, are to be sent to Saudi embassies, some governmental bodies and a number of Islamic establishments, according to Minister of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance and General Supervisor of the Complex Sheikh Salih bin Abdul Aziz Al-Sheikh.

In a statement to Saudi Press Agency, Sheikh Salih said this order reflected King Fahd's eagerness to enhance the Islamic call through religious, educational and cultural establishments, to promote the aims of Islamic and its noble goals for the benefit of whole world in general and Muslims in particular.
