Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud today received at his office in the Al-Yamamah Palace President Yasser Arafat of the State of Palestine and his accompanying delegation. The meeting was attended by Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, Deputy Premier and Commander of the National Guard, Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz, Second Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, Prince Naif bin Abdul Aziz, Interior Minister, Prince Abdul Aziz bin Fahd bin Abdul Aziz, Minister of State and Member of the Cabinet, Mohammed Al-Niweiser, Chief of the Royal Court, Ibrahim Al-Anqari, Special Advisor to the King, Dr. Musaed Al-Eiban, Minister of State and Member of the Cabinet. Arafat was accompanied by Dr. Saeb Wreiqat, Minister of Local Rule and Chairman of the Palestinian Negotiating Committees, Nabeel Abu-Rudainah, Advisor to President Arafat and Ambassador Mustafa Hashem Al-Sheikh Deeb of the State of Palestine to the Kingdom. During the meeting, they reviewed the overall situation at the Arab, Islamic and international arena, particularly the progress of talks between the Palestinian and Israeli sides and Middle East peace process.
