Saudi relief airlifted to Kosovars refugees has, to date, totalled more than 770 tons aboard 70 flights, it was reported here today.
In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the supervisor for shipping operations assigned by the Saudi Common Relief Committee (SCRC) Wael Al-Aqeel said the airlift flights had transported 50 tons of medicines, 17 ambulances, three one-ton-payload cargo vehicles and three other vehicles. He explained that the shipments also included 1000 cartons of children's milk, 10,000 cartons of juice, 100 tons of 'Al-Maraee' milk, in addition to 120 tons of milk received by the Committee from 1000 tons of donations. Al-Aqeel said the airlift had also transported all the equipment and appliances of the field hospital which the SCRC had set up in Albania to provide health-care to refugees in addition to ten health dispensaries manned by 25 medical teams.
