King Fahd receives President of the Republic of Yemen
Marbella, Spain, 26th July, 1999

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud received at his residence here today President Ali Abdullah Saleh of the Republic of Yemen and his accompanying delegation. During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations in general terms, and the overall developments in the Arab, Islamic and international arenas where their viewpoints were identical. For his part, President Saleh expressed happiness at meeting King Fahd at his residence in Spain. Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and President Ali Abdullah Saleh exchanged condolences on the sad demise of King Hassan of Morocco and described him as a great loss to his Moroccan people and the Arab and Islamic nations. They wished King Mohammed VI every success as the new King of Morocco. The audience was attended by Prince Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, Advisor at the Crown Prince's court, Prince Abdul Aziz bin Fahd bin Abdul Aziz, Minister of State and member of the Cabinet, Ibrahim Al-Anqari, Special Advisor to the King, Mohammed Al Al-Sheikh, Chief of the Royal Protocol, Ali bin Musallam, Advisor at the Royal Court, Abdul Wahab Al-Isa, Deputy Chief of the Royal Court and Mohammed Al-Suleiman, Chief of the Private Office of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. President Saleh was accompanied by Sheikh Abdullah Al-Ahmer, Speaker of the Yemeni House of Deputies, Abdul-Qader Bajamal, Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister, Brig. Gen. Abdul Malik Al-Siyani, Minister of Transport, Abdulah Husein Al-Basheiri, Secretary General of the Presidency, Yemeni non-resident Ambassador to Spain Mohammed Al-Eryani and Abdou Bourji, Secretary to the President.
