Minister of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance Dr Abdullah Al-Turki has highlighted the great attention being given by the Saudi state to the mosques and in particular to the Two Holy Mosques. The remarks of Dr Al-Turki came on the occasion of laying the foundation stone for the Mosque of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in Johannesburg. Realizing the important role being played by mosques in the life of the Muslims, the Saudi state has been giving utmost attention to the Mosques, he added. Dr Al-Turki pointed out that the Mosque of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in Johannesburg, which will be able to accommodate about 2000 worshippers, is attached to an Islamic school for teaching the Holy Quran and a conferences hall and other utilities.
