King Fahd performs the funeral prayer of Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Baz
Makkah, 14th May, 1999

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud performed here, on Friday, at the Holy Mosque of Makkah, after the Juma prayer the funeral prayer on Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah bin Baz, Grand Mufti of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Chairman of the Commission of Senior Ulama, Chairman of the Administrations of Islamic Research and Ifta as well as Chairman of the Constituent Council of Muslim World League.

The Prayer was also performed by Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, Deputy Premier and Commander of the National Guard, Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz, Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, a number of princes, sheikhs and scholars led by Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah Al-Sheikh, deputy of the Grand Mufti of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and member of the Council of Senior Scholars, ministers and a great number of citizens.

Following the prayer, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques received princes, Ulama and ministers who offered their condolences on the death of Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Baz.

The King also received the Kuwaiti Minister of Justice and Endowments, Ahmad Al-Kulaib; Qatari Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, Ahmad Al-Mari; Sheikh Yusof Al-Karadawi, the Kuwaiti Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Jordanian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Hani Khalifa, who performed the funeral prayer and presented their condolences to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, princes, the Government and the people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the family of Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Baz.
