05/05/1999 King Fahd funds a Center for heart surgery and treatment
Jeddah, 4th May, 1999

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz will establish, at his personal expense, a Center for heart surgery and treatment to be annexed to King Khalid Hospital of King Saud University in Riyadh, it was announced here today.

The royal donation was disclosed in a message delivered by Prince Abdul Aziz bin Fahd bin Abdul Aziz, Minister of State and Member of the Cabinet, to the Minister of Higher Education Dr Khalid Al-Anqari together with a cheque worth ten million Saudi Riyals for the establishment of the cardiological diseases treatment Center.

For his part, Dr Al-Anqari told the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) that the new gesture was a continuation of King Fahd's generous deeds for the welfare of his people.
