25/04/1999 IIRC thanks King Fahd for Saudi aid to Kosova
Jeddah, 25th April, 1999

The Saudi-based International Islamic Relief Commission (IIRC) expressed thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud for giving the go-ahead for airlifting relief supplies to Kosovo refugees.

The Secretary General of the IIRC, Dr Adnan bin Khalif Basha said the commission has sent three shipments, weighing in total 200 thousand kilograms, of foodstuffs, blankets, clothes, shoes and medicines to the Kosovo refugees in Albania.

He said the first three shipments were sent by sea to the Albanian port of Drois.
