Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud has ordered dispatch of 1.20 million copies of the Holy Quran and its translations in a number of languages, published at the Madinah-based King Fahd Printing Complex for the Holy Book, to a number of governmental bodies, Islamic organizations and institutions in the Kingdom and abroad as well as Saudi embassies in Qatar, Oman, Tunisia, Indonesia, Italy, Holland, Greece, Singapore, Egypt, Switzerland and the United States.
This was disclosed in a statement here today to Saudi Press Agency by Minister of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance Dr Abdullah bin Abdulmohsin Al-Turki, who is also the General Supervisor of the King Fahd Printing Complex for the Holy Quran. Dr Al-Turki said this royal directive reflects care and attention being given by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Islam and Muslims everywhere, adding it also demonstrates King Fahd's desire to make the Muslims attached with the reading, recitation and understanding of the Holy Quran and follow its noble message.
