Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz expressed his appreciation in a cable to the Minister of Planning, Dr. Abdulwahab bin Abdulsalam Attar, as well as the personnel of his Ministry, after having reviewed the 16th issue of the 'Achievements of the Development Plans: Facts and Figures' published by the Ministry of Planning.

The document contains statistical figures on the achievements of the five-year Development Plans covering the period from 1971 to 1995. The book is considered an indicator of the extent to which, through the development of all the productive and service sectors in all parts of the country, the Kingdom has striven to meet the needs and ambitions of the Saudi citizens. In addition, it shows the civilization level the Kingdom has reached in line with the directives of the Government under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
